Brighton

Easton was engaged to help transform this beachside home in Melbourne into a modern family residence while preserving the soul of its original 1970s design.

A key feature of the original architecture, the curved archways repeated throughout the home, was carefully retained and celebrated as a beautiful example of enduring design. The initial renovation, completed in 2008, focused on enhancing natural light, improving spatial flow, and introducing contemporary finishes that complemented the home’s relaxed coastal character.

In 2018, Easton was invited back to undertake a second phase of works, which included the design and construction of a basement cellar and games area. These additions were thoughtfully integrated into the existing structure, maintaining the architectural integrity and calm elegance of the original renovation. The result is a timeless residence that balances heritage and modernity, reflecting Easton’s commitment to considered design and a testament to our ability to create long-term client relationships.
