Golden Crust Bakery Conversion
A three-story, six-bedroom house on a sprawling 1850sq m block features a huge wet-edge pool, a spa, sundeck, a covered barbecue deck, and landscaping by Jack Merlo. A bluestone entrance hall flows into several living spaces including sitting room, and a palatial open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen area.
As builder for this landmark Armadale conversion, Easton brought craftsmanship and sensitivity to every detail of the former Golden Crust Bakery’s evolution into a contemporary family residence.
Heritage brickwork and industrial remnants were meticulously restored, paired with a palette of natural stone, timber and steel to create a warm, enduring materiality throughout. The home has been designed around the rhythm of family life, with Easton delivering two distinct zones: a sophisticated parents’ wing and a dedicated teen wing, linked by a dramatic suspended walkway that becomes a sculptural feature in its own light.
Beyond the architectural core, Easton oversaw the creation of resort-style outdoor living, complete with an infinity-edge pool and lush, landscaped gardens that extend the home’s sense of retreat. The result is a graceful union of heritage and modern luxury, crafted for family connection, privacy and everyday enjoyment.
